  • US Air Force Memorial - This is the newest of the service Memorials in the Washington DC metro area. It sits on a small hill adjacent to Arlington National Cemetery and the Pentagon 9-11 Memorial.
  • US Air Force Memorial - The Memorial consists of statuary depicting an honor guard in Air Force dress uniforms, as well as three spires arcing into the sky. The spires represent the contrails of jet fighters as seen in the famous exhibitions by the Blue Angels.
  • US Air Force Memorial - the three contrails arc straight up into the sky, making for a dramatic effect in all types of weather. But, on cloudy or stormy days, the view is even more dramatic.
